My name is Mindi Blokzyl. I live in Clearwater, KS with my husband Casey. Casey is the gifted teacher here in Sumner County. We have a little boy named Xavier. He is 1 year old.  I received my bachelor's degree from Fort Hays State University in 2006 in elementary education. I just recieved my master's degree in instructional technology this May.

In my classroom I think it is important for the students to have a hands on approach when it comes to their learning. We will have the occasional worksheet, but for me it is important that they get up and move around the classroom and be physically involved with the content. 



I love my job and all of the kids! I couldn't imagine myself doing any other job. I like to have fun with the students and try to instill the love for school at an early age. We do cover a lot of material, but they will be prepared for 1st grade at the end of the year! Thank you so much for giving me an opportunity to work with your child and I cannot wait to watch the whole class grow!
